Movement - Footfall

Movement Patterns

This is a demonstration of our footfall camera in action
The technology can be used for numerous purposes such as car and pedestrian counting, low level security, process monitoring or warehouse management. Video frames are collected locally using standard CCTV or web cam. These can then either be streamed through the internet (using ADSL) or analysed locally and the data extracted sent back continuously or to a pre-set schedule to a server.

The demonstration you are seeing here uses our CENS pattern recognition technology to identify and count
objects - people and vehicles - moving in the video frame. The object is first identified, its centre of gravity found
and some special profiling applied to isolate the object. Note that the blue count numbers are not necessarily
what is being sent back as a count, the local logger can process numerous profiles and parameters at the
local data node depending on what sort of count or analysis is required.

(Note: As these are our in-house demonstration sensors you may, from time to time, find that they are not operating. This will generally mean that we are developing new features or re-calibrating them. We plan, however, to ensure that they are streaming live data as frequently as possible. If you cannot obtain a data feed, we suggest you come back after four hours to try again. If you still cannot see any data after two or three attempts please contact us.
