Women in Business

The Women in Business Group was founded in June 1992. It is managed by a committee averaging ten full serving members. The Women in Business Group is affiliated to North Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.

The WIBG held its inaugural meeting on September 24, 1992. The response was quite overwhelming, confirming the Committee’s conviction that there was a need for such a body within the Basingstoke and surrounding business community.

Membership

If you would like to join the Women in Business Group, you can register online here. Forms need to be completed whether your company is a Chamber member or not as this ensures that you receive a personal monthly mailing. You will be sent the Women in Business Directory and a welcome letter upon receipt of your application. Membership is renewed on an annual basis, at which time you will be given the opportunity to be included in the Directory.

Upcoming WIBG events

Attending events

The group usually meets on the last Thursday of each month and varies between evening and lunch events.

If you are attending an event for the first time, you will be personally greeted by one of the committee members who will ensure you are looked after and introduced to as many people as possible.

At all functions you also receive a handout providing you with a programme of the forthcoming events and other useful information that may be current. You will also be provided with a list of all attendees.
