International Trade Services
Training
To achieve success in international trade, it is vital for
those involved to adopt a professional approach towards acquiring
the skills and knowledge needed. With this in mind, and to
ensure that local businesses have access to training courses
of professional quality, NHCCI has a programme of international
trade-related courses from JETS-accredited trainers. JETS
stands for Joint Export Training Standards, a national benchmark
agreed between The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) and
The Institute of Export, and supported by UK Trade & Investment,
Scottish Development International and the National Training
Organisation for Employment. The NHCCI Documentation courses
are themselves also JETS-accredited.
The ITC offers a programme of training courses tailored to
the needs of exporters and importers. We have seven 1-day
courses (4 on Documentation and 3 on Sales & Marketing),
and these are run in Basingstoke throughout the year. We also
have a special 4-day National Export Sales Training (NEST)
Certificate Course for company staff - export sales managers,
directors, executives and sales engineers - whose job is to
secure orders.
Each of these courses is held according to demand, and details
and scheduled dates are available on request.
A fact sheet on Training
