Log In and Member Areas |

Where a database has fields for a log-in and password we are able to use these to offer "locked" areas of your web site for members only or other uses. Our log-in and password mechanism does not use "cookies", but a customised sessions method which is secure. Configurability The log in and session capability by a Main Highway implemented community member is recognised across our communities, however the accessibility of private areas in any one community is limited to members of that community. This means that while your members can be allowed access to their own members areas, members of other communities can also be recognised on entry to your public areas. This has advantages for customer recognition in payments systems and/or special privileges or loyalty schemes for non-members who are previous clients or selected customer types. You effectively gain an area of private property in which you can configure the way you interact with customers. Turnstiles The reach of the Main Highway log-in and registration engine is not limited to our own server. We are able to place a "Turnstile" on any web site which calls the functionality of the Main Highway server to allow access to other areas of downloadable resources. This Turnstile feature is particularly useful for communities wishing to measure traffic or allow access to tiered resources for learning or other training uses. Corporate clients can configure access to resources with a range of ranked permissions using the Turnstile mechanism. Solutions
